You can easily adjust your mesh watch strap using a flathead screwdriver. Adjust the placement of the sliding clasp on the lower portion of the mesh band to fit the mesh strap comfortably around your wrist.

Follow these steps to adjust the strap:

Hold the clasp steady. Place the watch flat on a table or other firm surface. On the adjustable buckle, open the top clasp. You will need a small, pointed object to pry open the mesh clasp.

• Please, do not use a knife blade. The point of the knife could slip and scratch the watch, or you could accidentally cut your fingers with the blade. Place the flathead screwdriver or spring bar tool in the square slot. Lift this part up, away from the strap - in the direction of the dial, to open it. Warning: Do not lever the tool against the straight pin as it can cause the straight pin to bend.

• If the clasp doesn’t fully open with the use of the screwdriver, use your thumb and index finger to open it completely. Slide the adjustable buckle to the desired position. Sliding the clasp farther up the mesh strap (towards the watch) will tighten the strap on your wrist and sliding the clasp down the mesh strap (away from the watch) will loosen the strap. Align the back of the clasp with a groove in the mesh watch strap.

Once you’ve found the best position for the watch strap and aligned it with a groove in the mesh strap, close the clasp to lock it in place.

Close the clasp (the piece with the square slot) and press it down towards the strap. You can do this using your finger. Do not apply pressure to the straight pin. You should hear a “pop” sound as the clasp snaps shut.

The following information is specific for the Carlheim link strap watches. The link bracelet might need to be adjusted to fit your wrist perfectly.

This can be done at your local certified watchmaker at a cost. Please keep in mind that after the link bracelet has been adjusted to fit your wrist, you are not entitled to return the watch and get your money back, or a replacement. The warranty is however valid if the watch is faulty.

STEP 1 – REMOVING THE OLD STRAP

Place the watch with face down and locate the quick-release lever on the back-side of the watch strap. Pull the quick-release lever towards the middle of the watch strap, and pull the watch strap away from the lug on the side of the lever. Slide the other end of the spring bar out of the other lug, and remove the watch strap completely. Repeat the previous steps for the other half of the watch strap so that both halves of the watch strap have been removed completely.

STEP 2 – INSTALLING THE NEW STRAP

Before installing the new quick-release strap, note that the buckle end of the watch strap will be installed in the watch’s top lugs, and the long end of the watch strap will be installed in the bottom lugs. Slide the end of the spring bar that is opposite the quick-release lever into one side of the watch’s lugs.

Pull the quick-release lever towards the middle of the watch strap while aligning the spring bar with the hole in the watch lug. Release the quick-release lever and the spring bar should lock into the watch’s lugs.

Repeat the previous steps for the other half of the watch strap so that both halves of the watch strap have been fastened securely to the watch. The installation is now complete. Gently pull both halves of the watch strap away from the watch to ensure a secure installation. Done!
